Esaote wins “China Awards” 2009 assigned by “Fondazione Italia-Cina”

Esaote, world leading company in the production of medical technologies, has been presented the prize “China Awards 2009” for the category “Creatori di Valore” at a gala dinner in Milan.

Milan – Esaote, world leading company in the production of medical technologies, has won the prize “China Awards 2009” for the category “Creatori di Valore”. The prize was assigned by the “Fondazione Italia-Cina” during a gala dinner ceremony, held at the Palazzo Mezzanotte in Milan.

The prize “China Awards 2009” - an initiative created by the “Fondazione Italia-Cina” in partnership with the Italian magazine Milano Finanza - was assigned to Esaote for the great performances achieved in the Chinese market and for operating in highly export oriented fields.

The jury – Chairmen of which were Cesare Romiti, President of Fondazione Italia-Cina and Paolo Panerai, Vice-President and Managing Director of Class Editori - was composed of Sun Yuxi Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Italy, Sergio Balbinot Managing Director Gruppo Generali; Diana Bracco President of Bracco; Gabriele Capolino Director and Associated Editor MF, Davide Cucino President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China; Osvaldo De Paolini Director MF - Milano Finanza; Massimiliano Guzzini General Manager of Guzzini China; Alcide Luini General Manager of Fondazione Italia Cina; Pierluigi Magnaschi Vice President Class Editori Group; Riccardo Sessa Ambassador of Italy in the People’s Republic of China; Mario Zanone Poma President Sino-Italian Chamber of Commerce and Vice President of Fondazione Italia Cina

Esaote has been present in the Chinese area from the beginning of the ninties and its offices are located in Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdou. Since 2004 Esaote has been present also in Shenzhen with a factory for the assembly of ultrasound scanners. In China Esaote gives work to 150 employees.

For some years Esaote has been a partner of the China Charity Federation (a non-governmental organisation) for supplying the rural health care system of the People’s Republic of China with Esaote ultrasound scanners for various applications (paediatric, vascular, cardiology examinations).

At the moment China is Esaote’s largest export market after the USA and represents the most significant growth trend in the world..
